Radical Idea 3: Same-sex Xi

In the Chinese tradition, the twin Xi3 is a character used in the celebration of marriages. The character is used on wall posters, cards, even on the food to bring happiness to the newlyweds - a male and a female. In China, the homosexual culture is neglected in the law making. The current Chinese government policy is: no approval, no unapproval, no promotion. Through some extensive research, it seems that even the emperor of ancient china experienced erotic play with the same-sex, and non of the chinese religions opposed strongly to homosexuality. It is only until the cultural revolution came did homosexuality become a "negative" behavior.

Through typography, I've played around with the Xi3 character and merged the concept of same-sex marriage into the Chinese language. Hopefully China will become more familiar with and stop putting a blind eye towards the current culture.

This idea is typographically very clever in the way you've played with the characters.
